Beer (l33tsp33k: b33r), the alcoholic beverage, is a subject that pops up again and again over the course of the comic. The primary consumer of beer is Largo, who seems to not only live solely off the stuff, but is also attuned to its more creative uses, using it to cool the CPUs in his Beowulf cluster at the start of Chapter 4.
The rest of the time, Largo is either foisting it on Boo or feeling the need to "b4th3" in it. Beer is the key catalyst in the disasterous events at the end of Chapter 2, with Kimiko forcing Piro to take back his railcard and Erika eliciting a scream of "ultimate suffering" from Largo.
